Events

The Nobscussett Property Owners Association hosts a number of members’ activities throughout the summer. Annual highlights include July 4 week events (Kids' Parade and Beach Games and a cookout), a members’ Annual Meeting, potluck dinners and other social gatherings on the beach, and more!

If you would like to help organize, host, or contribute to any of these activities, please contact board members Meghan SullivanTom Byrne, or Sue Masterson.

 

Summer 2024 Activities

 

Friday, June 28 (5:00-6:30 p.m.)

Summer Meet-and-Greet

Join fellow members for a casual Friday end-of-day get together at the Harvest Gallery. Look for us on the porch or inside. Please rsvp to Sue Masterson as we need to give the Harvest a head count. (Cash bar; light snacks will be provided.)

Saturday, June 29 (9:30 a.m.)

Annual Meeting

Join other members in hearing news and updates from the NPOA Board, a Treasurer’s Report, vote on new officers and directors, and help make other decisions of importance to the membership. Coffee, water, and donuts to be provided prior to the start of the meeting, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. Bring your own chair.

Thursday, July 4 (11:00 a.m.)

Kids July 4 Parade

Join Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty for a procession through the neighborhood to celebrate our nation’s Independence Day. Costumes, bicycle decorations, and other festive trappings are encouraged!

Beach Party & Kids' Games

Kids… bring your parents and come test your mettle (and win candy prizes!) with games like tug of war, relay races, and the ever-popular egg toss, then enjoy a picnic of grilled hamburgers and hotdogs (bring your own sides!) while you relax on the beach with fellow members. (Location: Games on the sand bar between Mark Way and Webfoot Path; cookout near the Webfoot stairs.

Saturday, July 27 (3:30 - 6:30 p.m.)

NPOA Lawn Party

Join your neighbors for a family-friendly get-together at the home of Meghan Sullivan & Oliver Keller. This afternoon event will be a fun way for NPOA families to mingle and meet. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be provided; feel free to bring a dish to share (finger foods; no dips, please). (Rain date:  Sunday, July 28)

Location: 19 Beagle By-Way. (Note: no parking is available; please plan on walking.)

Mid-Summer Meet-Up

Bye-Bye-Summer Brunch 

This summer has been a great one – and it isn't over yet! Let's all gather for one more chance to celebrate our unique community.

Join us for a fun morning get-together. We’ll provide coffee, mimosas, and Bloody Marys, plus pastries and fruit salad – please consider bringing a brunchy dish or treat to share with your fellow members. Juice and soft drinks also will be provided. Spend the morning with us, or just stop by briefly, then head to the beach for a lovely afternoon and late-day low tide. Family members, kids, and guests are all welcome!
